The story –supposed to be a true one
- is about a nun in a Kolkata convent where
she gets troubled by an evil spirit and
her Mother Superior who engages the services
of a witch to exorcise the evil spirit.
Sarika plays the lead role of Ispita, one
of the nuns.
The posters of the movie, which display
a cross prominently with the wordings, ‘when
there is light, there is shadow’ have
evoked strong reactions from the Catholic
community, who have called for a preview
of the movie. A spokesman of the Catholic
Secular Forum says that the usage of symbols
like cross and nun naturally raise apprehensions
in their minds as to which context they
have been used in. The movie is slated for
release on June 2nd. |
