calls: Actresses in change of mobile

The dust has settled on the elections
in Tamilnadu. The fiery campaigns
are over, the voting held and a new
government installed after the counting.
But, as ordinary folks return to their
everyday business, the film folk have
been finding the going tough. For
many actors and actresses, who were
pitted against each other in the campaigns,
a peculiar problem has cropped up.
The actresses are more vulnerable
as those of them who campaigned for
the losing party seem to be flooded
with obscene and intimidating calls.

While
nothing untoward has happened so
far, someone is doing the mischief
just for the kick of it. Most of
the actresses have rushed in to
change their numbers on the mobile
phone and are now heaving a sigh
of relief. Some actors are supposed
to be building bridges with Bhagyaraj
to find some solace. Bhagyaraj,
as you know, was the star campaigner
for the DMK, which is the ruling
party now. |
