Two

record!! |

Ideally,
anyone who gets to act in a super hit, and
gets to star in a chart-busting song, should
find her much in demand and her career should
be on a roll. But, no, for Chaya Singh,
the progress has been downhill all the way,
having been reduced to doing item numbers,
and, horror of horrors, having to act opposite
a comedian. (No offence meant to Vivek’s
fans who consider him no less than a star.) |

Chaya Singh, for her part, attributes
the reason of her career - being still
a non-starter - to her ineffective
managers. She has changed five managers
in the last two years and in Kollywood
circles, this is a record of sorts
Chaya, one hears, wanted Ajith, manager
of Nayantara, paying heed to the trade
opinion that he is the one largely
responsible for her getting a lot
of movies in a short time. |

Poor
thing, she does not seem to know that more
than managers, there is something called
‘performance’ that producers
value more and that brings better offers.
For the record, Ajith, has turned down the
offer saying, “Sorry, I don’t
want to be the sixth.” |
