And
how was it working with the Big B himself?
“Terrific. Mr Bachhan is a thorough
professional and he knows what is expected
of him. Give him the reason as why you are
doing something in the way you are doing,
he is quick to understand and does what
he is asked to do,” Sriram says spiritedly.
As he is wont to do, Sriram began the muharat
shot differently. Breaking the convention
where simple dialogue scenes are shot, Sriram
began with Amitab walking to the door of
a house with an umbrella in his hand. He
enters the house, places the umbrella on
a stand and looks back. Cut.
Sriram’s approach to cinematography
is different. You can call it sophisticated.
Some people say he copies his lighting effect
from the works of the famous artist Rembrandt.
So for the first time, Bollywood is going
to get the taste of P C Sriram. There is
already another Bollywood movie waiting
for him. This untitled film will be directed
by Mani Rathnam and will have Amir Khan
in the lead. By the way, Ilaya Raja scores
the music for Cheeni Kum. |
