The film with the above interesting and unique title with Vadivelu in the lead is dropped due to various reasons. After the thumping victory of Imsai Arasan, he was drowned with offers to act as hero in many projects. Finally on behalf of all lights production, V Rajagopal was said to produce Indra Logathil Naa. Azhagappan with V Krishnamurthy as the director.

There was a stiff competition among lady artists as to who will adorn the shoulders of this comedian turned hero. Numerous glamour names like Shilpa Shetty, Simran, and Mallika Sherawat were alleged to be considered for the heroine role. A jaw dropping amount of six crores was said to be agreed upon as the remuneration for Vadivelu for this film. Advance alone was disbursed to him in two installments of twenty five lakhs each.
Meanwhile producer of the film has approached a financier to lend him with money informing about his plans to film a movie with Vadivelu in the lead. The financier has obliged the producer and has lent him the money. Later the financier called Vadivelu to confirm his presence in the movie and expressed his allegiance and faith on the comedian in financing the movie. Having heard this, Madurai puyal said, "Please finance the film if you have trust on the producer and the director. I am after all an actor and don't base your loaning on me. In case you want to give the money because of me, please don't give at all."
After a rejoinder like this, the financier has refused to fund the film which has resulted in the shelving of the project. Vadivelu had allotted a call sheet of seventy days to this film, out of which twenty days have been wasted. Now talks are going on to take back his advance amount.
