Cheran, as it seems, has decided to put down his roots in acting. Official announcement is out on his next venture after Mayakannadi. Titled Pirivom Sandippom, the movie will be directed by Karu Palanippan who is synonymous with movies like Sadurangam, Parthiban Kanavu, and Sivappadigaram.

Touted to talk about the third dimension (whatever that means though) of love, Pirivom will have Kamalini Mukherjee playing the lead. "There is only a hair breadth's difference between love and dream, it may seem, but these things are poles apart. That is the bottom line of the movie", reveals Karu Palaniappan.
Though Cheran's acting stint was in his own direction so far - with an exception of Solla Maranda Kadhai - Pirivom will be the second movie Cheran signs for a different director. Pooja of the movie is proposed to be held on March 28 at the Mahalingapuram office of the producer Subaskaran. Vidyasagar scores for Pirivom for the lyrics penned by Kabilan, Yugabharathy, and Pa. Vijay.
Photo session of Pirivom will be carried out in the Royapuram railway station tomorrow, March 16, 2007. So, if you are around consider yourself lucky to catch a glimpse of Cheran and Kamilini posing their best.
