Students from the Viscom department of SRM College, Kaattankulathur near Chennai has embarked upon film making through their debut venture '377'. This is said to be a suspense thriller film on video. The film boasts of a linear narration devoid of the usual

commercial elements like songs, fights and dance sequences. Method of investigation and judicial processes are the central themes around which the film is spun. Treatment of homosexual crime also is the USP of the film.
Stanislavski method of acting style and actor's studio has been followed to render a realistic touch to the film. The film talks about the vulnerability of boys to sexual crimes and stresses on the awareness about good and bad touch. This is a low budget film targeted at home audience. Amrit Raj Gnanam is the director of this film and also plays the detective role. He has been supported by Balaji, Mukesh, Narayanan, Prabha, Arvind, Chandrashekar, Thirumaran, Iyanaar, Sunil Gavs and Murali in various capacities in front and behind the camera.
