After what seemed to be an extended sabbatical, Simbu is back in track. Although he had not missed the limelight earlier - only that the media attention was purely focused on his personal life - the official announcement of his next movie was hanging around thus far.

To cater to the anticipation, the announcement on his next movie is out now. After deliberations and a few titles - Chennaiyil Irundhu Madhurai, Mosamaanavan and Agaradhi - the film will now be called Kaala. Directed by Tarungopi, director of the Vishal starrer surprise action hit Thimiru, Kaala will have Yuvan Shankar Raja's music.
Simbu will be flanked by Trisha in Kaala if credible sources are to be believed. The movie is also rumored to have the yesteryear glam goddess Rekha - daughter of veteran Gemini Ganesan. If you might remember, Rekha had not been accepting offers from down south up until now. Could be that Kaala's script impressed her. That apart, Prakashraj and Bangalore based actor Sunil will play the part of villains.
As a tailpiece, Tarungopi has decided to deploy close to 300 models from Mumbai for Kaala. This would be for a grand intro song of Simbu. Large scale plans are underway for this peppy song to be specially composed by Yuvan. The song in which Simbu shakes his leg with these beautiful girls is deemed to be the highlight of the movie.
