Surya, as it appears, will share his dates between the Gautam directed Varanam Ayiram and the Hari directed Vel. Although the movies are announced much earlier, they are still in the groundwork stage and in all likelihood the movies will take off at the same time. Though the photo shoots of Varanam have been carried out, Gautam had to overlook the movie since his Pachaikkili was due for release.
Meanwhile, Surya signed on the dotted line for Hari's Vel, the shoots of which are expected to take off anytime now. Given the working style of Gautam - who is renowned for his extensive research and perfectionism - Varanam's shoots are nowhere in sight, atleast in the near future. Reports suggested that Surya was also under vigorous workout regime for the movie.
Given the circumstances, it could be conceived that Hari's Vel will take off with Surya's available dates and might hit the screens well before Varanam Ayiram.
