cinema - has received coveted recognitions
both in India and abroad. Winning the
national award thrice acknowledging
his acting prowess and the prestigious
Padmasri award from the central government,
Kamal had to turn down filmfare awards
to prevent them from filling his display
cabinets at home every year.
Kamal has received a total of 171 awards, an honor
which none of the actors on the planet earth hold.
In an attempt to add another honor to his already brimming award list, Mumbai based UFO Digital Cinema Company has announced the 'contemporary living legend of year 2007' award to Kamal Haasan. The award will be bestowed upon the actor in an event to be held in Mumbai on March 28, UFO officials stated.
