Entertainment is just getting bigger and hotter this summer. If the sweltering heat during the hottest months of the year is not enough to keep you panting, the release of certain movies and the world cup cricket action undeniably will. Come summer, the screens - big and small alike - are set to scorch in the name

of world cup cricket and mega budget extravaganzas slated to hit the Tamil screens. The prominent movies that are lined up to set the screens ablaze are Sivaji, Dasavatharam, and Sabari. Out of which Sivaji's release date has been officially announced as April 12. Now, as it seems, Captain's Sabari will be released on March 16 a few days short of Sivaji's release. While Dasavatharam maintains composure as to when its release date would be, Sivaji and Sabari are expected to generate enough and more expectations among moviegoers.
Set in captain's previous 'Ramana' genre, Sabari is said to expose the atrocities and scandals in hospitals and in the very field of medicine. Vijayakanth plays a doctor himself. If you did not think it is quite impressive, we have more news. Captain Vijayakanth has reportedly not - hold your breath here - uttered a single political reference in his dialogues. Well, tall order for a Vijayakanth movie that is. Agree?
Banking solely on Sabari's script is director Suresh who earlier directed Sharath's Gambeeram and Arasu. "Sabari will throw light on the heinous side of certain criminals who wear the mask of doctors," said Suresh.
Producer Chandrasekharan seems to have no qualms in releasing Sabari during the period when cricket fever is at its peak either. "Sabari has shaped up well and the movie has all that it takes to become a blockbuster. I am not concerned about any other issues," he clarified.
Wait for a few days to find the result. Is it the cricket mania or Sabari who has all that it takes?
