which could well be called a Pyrrhic victory given the myriad troubles the movie encountered before its release.News is that Paruthiveeran's heartbreaking climax seems to have had an effect on the fans, which is quite obvious in the theatres. Amir has adopted the technique of crafting a lovable character in the movie only to sacrifice it to a tragic end - just the way Bala did for Sethu.
As the climax approaches in the movie, the fans young and old alike - those who got the gist of the plot by then - vacate their seats only to wait in the corridors for the scenes to end. Ladies, on the other hand, shed loads of tears wetting their handkerchiefs and people are even seen bending their heads staring down for the scenes to pass by. All of which apparently prove that Paruthiveeran is heading for a silent success. If not anyone else, Priya Mani could expect her maiden award with this movie.
