In the film industry luck plays a pivotal role in shaping up one's career. An industry which relies more on sentiments and foibles, establishing oneself as a lucky artist is more crucial than being known as a talented artist. Once a 'jinxed label' is stuck on an artist, it requires an uphill task and effort to thwart that image.

But surprisingly, Reema Sen never got caught in any of these quagmires but for reasons unknown she has been having a rough patch in the Tamil film industry lately. She started her Kollywood innings with 'Minnale' and has been steadily giving hits. She is involved with at least 2-3 hit films in a year. Despite this, she is still struggling to break into the 'top five' bracket in heroine segment. Though the recently released Rendu and Thimiru did decent business at the box office, it did nothing to help in uplifting her career. She has completed a film with Govinda in Hindi now. Meanwhile she has also withdrawn from Jeeva's Dhaam Dhoom. The Bengali beauty is bereft of any Tamil movies presently.
