Looks like the trouble hovering around Paruthiveeran is far from over even after its release and setting the cash registers ringing. Producer Gnanavelrajan, as it seems, is yet to settle accounts with Ameer, the then producer. Out of the agreed Rs. 3 crores, Ameer has only been settled Rs. 1.75 crores.

Ameer's Director Council allies have started to discuss about the settlement in husked whispers. Sources suggest that Ameer's friends think the settlement has been unfair for the director. With new actors onboard and considering the production time of the movie, which extended for a couple of years, Ameer could well have incurred Rs. 5 crore which was his demand, they say.
Besides, Ameer is a perfectionist and would not settle for anything unless he gets the right shots. Many a times, this result in 10 to 15 takes which is yet another reason for a hike in budget; Ameer's friend was quoted as saying.
Ameer, however, is still at the best of his patience and is maintaining a cool head.
