Amitabh Bachan, who was once again in front
of the camera, nearly three months after his
surgery, yesterday cancelled a trip to Kolkata
where he was to have a schedule of shooting.
Bachan reportedly complained of exhaustion.
Bachan suddenly took ill in November last year
at a function in Delhi and was admitted to the
Escorts Heart Institute. He was then moved to
Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital where he underwent
surgery for diverticulitis of the small intestine.
He left hospital after 20 days and had been
resting for two months. He resumed work with
Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Na kehna and
his make up man Deepak Sawant’s Bhojpuri
film, Ganga. Shooting continuously for the two
projects obviously tired him. Although not serious,
he would like to rest a while before continuing.
