The music release of Cheran’s home banner,
Azagai Irukirai Bayamai Irukiradhu was held
yesterday at Filmchamber Buildings. Leading
personalities from the film industry such as
Panchu Arunachalam, K S Ravikumar, Sarathkumar,
and Rajkiran graced the occasion. Others who
were present included Yuvan, Bharath, new face
Mallika Kapoor, the leading lady who looked
striking in green, and actor Arunkumar. The
first copy of the album was released by Panchu
Arunachalam and received by K S Ravikumar. As
part of the celebrations, Rajkiran, one of Cheran’s
favourite character artistes, was felicitated.

The film has Bharath and Mallika Kapoor in the
lead. Vijay Milton, one of the leading cinematographers,
dons the director’s mantle for the first
time. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.
Out of six songs, one is rendered by Karthik and
the rest five by Yuvan himself. Two songs were
screened at the event and both were well received.
Speaking at the function, Cheran remarked that
instead of him directing the movie, he chose Vijay
Milton because he wanted to break the image that
his movies are always serious and are typecast
as tear-jerkers. Vijay Milton has been given ample
freedom to express his ideas in this film, which
is a romantic comedy thriller. The film is slated
for release on Tamil New Year’s day and
is sure to go down well with the youth.
An exclusive coverage of the event is available
in our Gallery section just for you. |
