Sayaji Shinde, who played Subramania Bharathi
in the Tamil hit Bharathi, and baddie in Vikram
starrer Dhool, is now playing villain in Telugu
films too. Recently we caught him at the sets
of Veerabhadra, a Balakrishna starrer. After
the shot, he was panting. How was his feeling
working for South Indian films, especially Bharathi?
“Great,” smiles this guy who exudes
confidence even when he smiles. “I have
a fan following of sorts here. Here in Telugu
too, I have a lot of fans and lots of offers.
But then, I am playing the bad guy but that
too, is fun,” he adds. Sayaji Shinde comes
from a farmer’s family and he made his
debut in Shool, a Bollywood flick. His performance
as Bharathi brought him rave reviews. For his
role in the Marathi film Abholi, he got the
Maharashtra State Award.
