He is a comedian of a different sort. He doesn’t play the second fiddle and he doesn’t knock at the production houses for chances. He takes what comes his way. Well, that way, many offers came and he has made a lot of money. Like other artistes he too invests money in real estate.
A bulk of money went into building a commercial complex on the Arcot Road. He entered into an agreement with a contracting firm Abirami Foundations and started building the complex. However, it was a period that he was experiencing a slump in his career. At one time, the project stood half completed because the comedian could not mobilize funds. The construction company has now filed a case against the comedian.

Meanwhile, when the comedian went to the site, probably with the idea of resuming construction, he was shocked that it was occupied by a Yoga Teacher and the security man at the site refused to vacate the premises. Koundamani went again in cinema style, with a group of henchmen to get them vacated. Now, the Yoga Teacher Keerti Lal and his disciples, have lodged a complaint against the comedian.

When police summoned Koundamani to be present at the station for interrogation, a sudden twist occurred. Koundamani’s lawyer appeared in the station and said that some people were sent to survey the site and Koundamani did not hire goondas to threaten the occupants. Negotiations were held and finally yoga master withdrew his complaint against Koundamani. Thus, Koudamani escaped from a legal mishap.
