Vinay, the young actor who was introduced
by Director Jeeva, was apparently shocked
when the news about Jeeva's death reached
him. The actor was very close to Jeeva and
considered him as his godfather. Vinay openly
admits that Jeeva was instrumental in shaping
him as an actor in Unnale Unnale,

and all appreciation he received was due to the master,
as every scene and every dialogue was his vision in toto.
As Vinay was making his debut and had little knowledge
in acting, Jeeva is said to have acted each and every
scene to him.
Vinay said "Jeeva was a little strict; he scolded
us if we made any mistakes and applauded when we did a
good job, but off the sets he was friendly with everyone."
Still in a state of shock, Vinay added that he is not
able to digest the fact that such a great technician and
master storyteller is no more. The whole of Kollywood
is shocked. Jeeva's body will be flown in from Russia
to Chennai via Mumbai, and director Vasanth, brother-in-law
of Jeeva, has set off to Mumbai to collect the body.
