These days, it is increasingly becoming difficult
for producers and directors to complete a
film without stepping inside the court premises.
Dasavatharam’s legal tangle is yet to
be undone and now Sivaji is also following
the same path. Sudalaikannu from T.Nagar has
filed a case with Chennai civil court staking
claim of the story of Sivaji.
According to Sudalaikannu he had shown the story to Shankar’s
manager who is alleged to have been pleased with it promised
him that he will be roped in as assistant director in
the film. However the film was completed without him but
with the same storyline much to his disappointment. Hence
he has pleaded with the court that they should declare
the story of Sivaji as his and should ban the screening
of the film. This case came for hearing today when the
presiding judge had ordered explanation from producer
A V M Saravanan and director Shankar.
