Those
who have already watched Sivaji will understand
this better. You might recall a few scenes
from the movie where the Superstar makes
a very sweet charming imitation of the comic
dialogue made famous by Vadivelu in the
movie Thalainagaram – ‘Enna
Vachu onnum comedy- kimedy pannaliye’.

This
drew a lot of applause from the audience in the theaters
as it evoked memories of one of the funniest scenes of
the past year; also Rajni was at his best in comic timing
in these scenes.
However it was not only Rajni who did a Vadivelu in the
movie. Shriya too joined in with her own version of the
Vadivelu patented ‘Vandhuttangayya, Vandhuttangayya….’.
She too managed to carry it off quite well and this scene
may get her noticed for her not too bad sense of timing
when it comes to comic scenes.
The interesting part in the whole episode is of course
what Vadivelu felt about his styles being part of the
‘Style Mannan’s’ movie. Well, he appeared
gratified to say the least. Coming out after watching
the movie he was quick to say that it was a great honor
for him when the biggest Superstar of the industry considered
his mannerisms and dialogues worthy to be included in
the movie. He also said that he would meet Rajni and thank
him personally at the earliest.
The scenes in Sivaji were a perfect example of how enthusiastic
Rajni is about his movies, how willing he is to try out
new things rather than sticking to tried and tested things.
The Superstar’s humility and trust for his director
shine through in these scenes. Such an attitude even after
reaching the pinnacle of success says a lot about the
person that Rajnikanth is. What a man! |
