After
ruling the box-office for a week in all
major territories "Fantastic four –
the rise of the silver surfer" is all
set to woo the Tamil audience. The film
heaped a colossal $ 54 million in its opening
weekend in the US. But not wanting to get
drowned in Sivaji wave, Fantastic Four in
South India alone was delayed but was released
in the rest of the country to a thundering
response. |

However,
the film received a mixed reaction from a critical perspective.
On the brighter side, visual effects and action sequences
are reported to be exceptional.
Super hero movies are bound to make it big in Tamil Nadu
and the kind of reception Spiderman 3 received cannot
be easily forgotten. But the first Fantastic Four was
not successful in enticing the viewers. However Tamil
audience always welcomes movies with fast paced screenplay
and stunning visual effects which may point towards a
warm reception for the film. Meanwhile sources reveal
that the film is getting released with Tamil dubbing too
which will woo all sections of the audience. On the other
hand, Fantastic Four is certain to satisfy the action
lovers as the movie is filled with high tech, visually
rich action sequences which are bound to draw in huge
audiences. But one major factor going against the release
of Fantastic Four 2 is that it is meeting the Boss in
its sophomore frame and the Sivaji fever will take some
more time to reach the normal level. Besides this, the
situation looks good as the only other movie which is
getting consistent crowd is Chennai 600028 in its 7th
week, so the market has enough space for this Fantastic
family as well. |
