Sivaji’s fete in Malaysia

Rajini’s Sivaji was released simultaneously worldwide and Malaysia is no exception. With the country having a vast Tamil population Sivaji would naturally be a crowd puller. Having released Sivaji on 14th night in 40 theatres in Malaysia the movie is marching to a greatest victory. And what is more unbelievable is that on the very first day the movie grossed a whopping Rs. 60 lakhs.

This has created a new history in Malaysia. Earlier Jeans, starring Prashanth and Aishwarya Rai, earned Rs. 32 lakhs.

A total of 53 theatres all over Malaysia have been screening Sivaji since 16th June to packed houses, sources say.
