Jeeva-Bhavana-starrer Rameswaram's story revolves
around a young girl who falls in love with
a Sri Lankan refugee. The team recently was
back in town after completing the first schedule
of shooting in Rameswaram town.
Sources close to the film unit say that many
of the refugees recounted horrific tales of
how they were uprooted from their homeland.
A pall of gloom descended the film unit when the real-life
refugees, who were roped in to act in a scene depicting
the arrival of the refugees, broke down while the filming
was in progress making the scene even more realistic.
This emotionally charged-up scene could just be the highlight
of the movie as most of them were not merely acting but
living what they had undergone.
This overwhelming response from the refugees has definitely
lifted the spirits of the director and his team as well.
The refugees seem to have lived rather than acted.
