Enjoying both commercial success and acclaim
from the film festivals around the globe is
no simple task. Looks like Vasanthabalan has
managed both with his Veyil. Just back from
the Cannes with loads of accolades, he is
packing his bags yet again for the Shangai
film festival on January 16, where his Veyil
is participating in the competition section.

Although in the midst of tiresome long-distance travels,
Vasanthabalan seems to have wrapped up his story discussion
for his next venture. Said to be in line with his debut
Veyil, the new script is reportedly an emotional drama
and will be rolled out when Balan is back in Chennai after
visiting the Shangai film festival. Oscar films will produce
the movie.
