Surya’s Sulaiyudham! Why not Vel?

Surya is an actor who is deeply attached to his roots. He makes it a point to visit his native place, Kasigoundanpudur, quite often and when time permits. Recently he was spotted there with wife Jyothika. Having had an enjoyable time with his family and extended family,

Surya visited his familial temple which is the abode of lord Paramasivan, a Hindu deity. The actor is said to have donated a six feet “Sulaiyudham” - a weapon – to the temple.

Now that’s interesting. A Sulaiyudham while working for Vel. Well, what’s in a name!
