This
director seldom seems to be out of the news.
First it was the film with Superstar, then
it was the controversy over Imsai Arasan,
and now, it is his fortuitous meeting with
the newly elected Chief Minister of Tamil
Nadu, M Karunanidhi. |

|
Even while shooting for Sivaji is
going on full swing, the director
is setting aside some time for the
release of Imsai Arasan that is
still embroiled in controversy and
is awaiting release. With huge losses
being incurred on an everyday basis
due to the delay, Shankar has already
filed a case in the Chennai high
court, and the court has issued
a stringent warning to the Animal
Welfare Board to come up with a
decision soon, as this one issue
is hampering the release of other
films as well.

Meanwhile,
Shankar has had the privilege of seeking
an audience with CM Karunanidhi at
his residence. He was accompanied
by the actor of the film, comedian
Vadivelu as well. During the course
of the meeting, Shankar explained
the current situation of the film,
and requested the Chief Minister to
intervene to help solve this seemingly
never-ending issue. It is said, that
the Chief Minister has promised to
come up with a quick solution and
end matters on the legal front. |
