It was the film Kakha Kakha
that shot Surya into stardom,
thanks to his authentic portrayal
of a police officer. It was
the same film that helped
director Gautham carve a niche
for himself in the industry,
and the film had Surya opposite
his ladylove.
Now, after a long break, the
hit pair is back again in
another film. No, we are not
talking about Surya and Jo,
we are talking about Surya
and Gautham, who have started
work again on Chennaiyil Oru
Mazhaikalam.

With the completion of Jillendru Oru
Kadhal, Surya is now able to schedule
dates for Gautham's film, which was
previously abandoned for other reasons.
Despite Surya planning his wedding
sometime this year, he has agreed
to act in Gautham's film and the process
has begun, with Asin to play the lead
