SJ
Surya has been at the receiving end of quite
a few “shocks”. First it was
his film Kalavanin Kadhali that bombed at
the box office. Then it was Vijay backing
out of his film Puli. And then the movie
titled Pandigai, which Surya was supposed
to do with Muthu Vadugu, Perarasu’s
brother, has been indefinitely postponed
to September.
So it seemed like SJ Surya was in a fix,
with no projects available to work on. And
then came Thirumagan, under Rathnakumar’s
direction and SJ Surya has accepted to work
in the film.

With Deva composing the music,
the movie is said to hit the
floors soon and is touted
to be a Diwali release.
However, the search for the
heroine proved to be quite
difficult. For some reason,
the minute actresses hear
that SJ Surya is the actor
they shy away from the film.
Finally, it is Meera Jasmine
who has agreed to work in
the film, with a quite a few
conditions of course! Just
a reminder Mr SJ Surya, what
happened to the children’s
film, Paesum Deivangal that
you had promised to make soon?
