Yesterday, at the Kalaivanar
Arangham in the city, Myskin
Raja was indeed a happy man.
And why not? The film that
most distributors had written
off in the beginning, was
actually celebrating its hundredth
day! Chithiram Paesuthadi,
with a slew of newcomers,
experienced a late pick up
at the box office, and with
the hugely popular “gaana”
song, the film was a success
through and through.

The dignitaries who graced the occasion
were P Vasu, Bhagyaraj, AVM Saravanan,
Myskin’s guru, director Kadhir,
Thangar Bachchan, director Seeman,
whose latest film was the Maddy-starrer
Thambi, etc. To say the who’s
who of the industry were present would
probably not be off the mark! |
|
With two huge screens in the backdrop
that highlighted the making of the
film, the event was a complete entertainer.
Bhagyaraj, speaking in the event said,
“When we were making films,
this concept of showing the ‘making’
of the film never existed. And perhaps,
even if it did, it would have only
been comic!” and that elicited
a lot of laughter among those present.

AVM
Saravanan said, “I can say that
this director has a lot of fans. My
own son-in-law actually told me, ‘why
don’t you make a film with Myskin
as the director?’”
Now that we say is a capital compliment.
Kudos to you Myskin! |
