Selva's next after Naan Avanillai

Nootrukku Nooru was a smashing hit of yester year directed by the legendary K Balachander and had Jayashankar and Srividhya in the lead role. This story was about a college professor and his students and now this is being remade by Selva for Kavithalaya banners. This follows closely on the heels of success of Naan Avanillai which again was a remake from the film of the same title.

While discussing about remakes, Selva says, “I am extremely happy about the success of Naan Avanillai and this has set a new trend in Kollywood for remaking old films. Some people attribute the lack of scripts for remakes but I don’t agree with it. Films that have been released a few decades ago had an excellent story element and there is nothing wrong in remaking them suitably altering it to present day scenario.” On the new Nootrukku Nooru, Selva says that he has plans to make a few changes in the original storyline and present in a stylish form.
