Answering this stinging comment, the commercial king
of directors, Perarasu has asked if Nasser is against
such movies why does he set double standards by acting
in such movies and yet make negative comments on it.
Coming down heavily on Nasser he said in that case he
should not have acted in movies like Padayappa.
Reacting to this, Nasser in a damage control move has
said that he was not against commercial films but was
voicing his anxiety that in a movie that last approximately
three hours, 30 minutes are devoted for songs and stunt
sequences. Consequently this brings down the time in
which the actors can bring out the best of their performance.
Moreover, Nasser said that if he is entirely against
commercialization of movies he would not have added
six songs in his movie Avatharam.
