Recently, he had donned on the role of a maternal uncle not in reel life but in real life to a small girl called Thamarai Selvi, who has been orphaned due to the vagaries of life. In a function held at Kalaivanar Arangam, Thamarai Selvi sat on Vikram’s lap and got her ear pierced which is a popular custom in Tamil Nadu where ‘ear piercing’ function is generally done on seating the child in maternal uncle’s lap.
