Potter ‘maila’ hits Britain |

It’s only potter wherever you look,
even if it is on the cover of the letter that
was sent to you; that is if you are in Britain
or have any good friends there. The Royal
Mail of Great Britain launched a special collector’s
edition of stamps featuring Harry Potter,
the most popular boy wizard of the world;
of course, he has very little competition.

In a classic application of ‘make hay while the
sun shines’ philosophy, the British postal department
chose the best time to release the stamps. Just when the
fifth Potter movie was running to packed houses and the
release of the seventh and final book of the series is
just three days away. The response, well, no prizes for
guessing. Suddenly everyone wants to buy stamps, even
computer and e-mail geeks who don’t know what a
stamp is meant for. The stamps are selling as fast as
the tickets of the Potter movie or tokens to the final
book. According to reports Potter might just ‘Stamp’
his authority on the postal department too. |
