Thee Nagar is produced on behalf of S R Studios by R M S Charan and directed by Thirumalai. This will be Karan’s next film after Karuppasamy Kuthagaidarar and he is being paired with Uday Thara. Thee Nagar had a novel premiere recently where a special show was conducted just for the students’ community alone.

When the matter was probed, director Thirumalai says, “As the film is all about students, we launched it in Nandanam Arts College and the film was shot there. Fifty students have also acted in the movie along with Karan and Uday Thara who feature as students”. Thirumalai also adds that students have assisted the film unit in various stages in the making of the film and it is only apt that they are given the centre stage in audio release as well as in the special premiere.
