Abbas Mastan, the masters of the thriller genre in Bollywood,
is back with their latest offering Naqaab, with their
personal favorite Bobby Deol and Akshay Khanna. The story
is said to have a good twist, and the hype is pretty high
for this thriller, which can translate into good numbers
in the ticket window. But there is a good chance that
the numbers won’t be as impressive as the other
movie which is the “Behindwoods pick of the week”
Behindwoods pick of the Week – Harry Potter and
the Order of the Phoenix
Harry, back with his friends for another year at Hogwarts,
continues to have problems, particularly with the return
of the evil Lord Voldemort, and a new Professor for Defense
of the Dark Arts - Dolores Umbridge - who takes over the
school in the absence of Professor Dumbledore. Harry,
Ron and Hermione take matters into their own hands, forming
a group of students together as "Dumbledore's Army"
to prepare themselves in case Voldemort attacks the school.
The hype is over the roof for this fifth movie of the
successful franchise which has grossed more than $3 billion
worldwide and still counting. The movie is expected to
gross an upward of $80 million this weekend in the US
alone. The shortest and the darkest of the Franchise,
the latest Harry Potter is made at an exorbitant $150
million budget. Will it dethrone the four week champion,
Sivaji at the Chennai box office? That is something that
needs to be seen.
The Tamil-dubbed version is also out today.
And here goes my final verdict – does anyone have
a spare ticket? |
