Captain and Nattamai fight it out: All for a name

Sarath Kumar's next venture is a remake of Malayalam movie Lion. Earlier, the movie was named Azhagiri. But, the film unit felt that it may evoke protests from the ruling party in the state as it also happens to be the name of the Chief Minister's son. Eventually, the director had to settle in for a less controversial name - Nam Nadu.

And it's not just Sarath who was in such a fix. Vijayakanth's forthcoming project also had its share of problems with the title. The movie, MGR, was announced sometime ago. Sensing trouble, it was decided to rechristen the movie as Puratchi Thalaivar. But it looks like the director saw red once more. What else could explain the sudden name change to Vithagan?

Vithagan will be directed by Madhesh, who adorned the director's cap in the Vijay-starrer Mathura. The photo session is on and the director is on the hunt for a suitable heroine.
