When Shriya was offered Trisha's role in the Telugu blockbuster
Varsham, for the Tamil remake, she immediately grabbed
it up like a piece of hot cake. And why not? She liked
Trisha's role in it after all. It's old story that the
actress went on to star with Jeyam Ravi and the movie
was titled Mazhai.
Now, nearly after two years, Shriya is all set to act
in Sangeeth Sivan's Hindi movie titled Ek - The Power
of One, opposite Bobby Deol. The movie is a remake of
Trivikram Srinivas's Telugu movie Athadu, starring Mahesh
Babu and Trisha.
This is the second time Shriya has been roped in to play
Trisha's role. Another interesting trivia: Nana Patekar,
in the Hindi remake of Andhapuram, acted in the character
made popular by Prakash Raj. He will now play the role
of a CBI officer who trails behind the hero in Ek. It
is to be noted that Prakash Raj played that role in the
original version. Coincidence? May-be. |
