Sivaji has its share of law suits both in
reel and real life as well. The recent one
was filed by the Chennai-based Congress party
worker M. Sathyamurthi. It was alleged in
the petition filed at the Madras High Court
that the Congress party and its leaders were
portrayed in bad light thereby attracting
negative publicity to the party.
What had irked this party worker is that the villainous
character in the movie – Adhikesavan, who owns a
chain of educational and medical institutions and earns
money through devious means – was shown prominently
is a scene photographed alongside the Congress president
Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. However,
the petition was dismissed on grounds that it was not
filed with necessary documents.
