His
plans are ambitious and his intentions
are good say people who know Shatrugun
Sinha, the Bollywood star-turned politician.
Called Shot Gun Sinha in the industry,
Shatru has proposed to set up a film
city a la Ramoji Rao’s in Hyderabad
to promote Bihar’s film industry
and also provide jobs to thousands
of young Bihari’s who migrate
to other states to work as labourers.
The film city will stand on a hundred
acre land and will contain all that
is need for shooting a film, including
a five-star hotel that will accommodate
stars and producers.

Bihar’s
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi
said that his government has forwarded Sinha’s
proposal to the State Industrial Promotion
Board (SIPB) for consideration. |
|
"Sinha's
proposal will be studied by the SIPB,
which will ask him to formally present
the project proposal," said Modi,
a senior BJP leader considered close
to Sinha.
Earlier one such proposal was mooted
by filmmaker Prakash Kumar Jha but
Bihar Opposition leader Rabri Devi
accused him of conniving with the
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of buying
government land at throwaway prices.

If
Sinha’s plans turn out real, Bihar can
see some good days both in the employment
industry and the movie industry. |
