This
has indeed brought relief to the actors.
The case against these ladies was
filed in a lower court by Dakshinamurthy,
a city-based advocate in a Public
Interest Litigation. The magistrate
had issued warrants against the actors
for not appearing before the court.
The actors in their petitions filed
in the Madras High Court pleaded that
they were not aware of the photographs
published in the eveninger and that
the warrants served were posted to
their old addresses. They also said
that the pictures printed were from
movies that were cleared by the Censor
Board already.
