Janmam
is a Malayalam film with Suresh Gopi
in the lead. Our own Manivannan is
also playing an important character.
Ace director Joshi is wielding the
megaphone. Shooting for the film has
been going on in the villages around
Pollachi. It was announced that ravishing
Nayantara had been taken on board.
The chechi was quite excited about
working with the macho Suresh Gopi.
She felt it would be a sort of homecoming.
Hence, she readily agreed. However,
when she reached Pollachi, she was
in for a rude shock.

It
seemed that Gopika would be the heroine
opposite Suresh and she would be the
second heroine, almost an item girl.
A miffed Nayan immediately packed
her bags and bid goodbye. She refused
to budge even after the director convinced
that her role could be expanded. The
producers have preferred a complaint
against her in the Malayalam Film
Producers’ Council.
Meanwhile, producer Seven Arts Mohan,
quickly approached Sadha and took
her in the film in place of Nayantara.

Sadha
is in Pollachi and the whole schedule would
be shot again. You win some, you lose some.
While we do regret whatever happened with
Nayan, it just escapes logic how she could
have agreed to a role without even listening
to it fully. May be being in a Malayalam
film was enough for her. Better take care
next time, Nayan!
