Even
though the post production work of the Kamal-Jyothika
starrer Vaettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is completed,
it may take some time for the movie to release—if
it comes out of the legal tangle that the
movie is involved in.

|
|
It
all began when Khaja Moiddin embarked
on making Vaettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.
Unable to go ahead with the production,
he sold the movie to Seventh Channel
Narayanan. Narayanan pumped in several
crores besides paying Moiddin and
almost completed the movie when Moiddin
surfaced again, claiming he was not
paid his dues. Also Moiddin wants
his Paerarasu to be released first
and not Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. With
the imbroglio getting messier, Narayan
has been advised by his well wishers
that he better move the court in this
regard.

If
the matter goes to court, one cannot say
when the movie will hit the screens? Even
if it does, Narayanan may stand to lose
several crores. If it flops, the losses
will be heavier. But Kamal and his team
are confident that it hit it off big.
Narayanan’s only hope is that the
problem be solved out of court with the
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi intervening
in the matter.
