Poor
Nayantara! When it was announced that she
would be acting in a Malayalam film with
Suresh Gopi, it was hailed as her return
to her hometown. She was supposed to play
herself in the film titled 'Janmam', directed
by Joshi, with Gopika playing the lead opposite
Suresh Gopi. |

Perhaps
Nayan herself was quite excited about
the venture, as she took time off
from her busy schedule in Telugu and
rushed to the shooting spot of the
film, somewhere near Pollachi in Tamil
Nadu. Unfortunately, the minute she
reached the spot and spoke to the
director and the scriptwriter of the
film, she discovered that she had
a very small role in the film, and
that would mean Gopika would be the
main character and Nayan only just
an extra heroine. Given Nayantara's
standing in the industry today, that
was completely unacceptable to the
actress, and she immediately walked
out of the sets, and returned to Tollywood. |

We
are still awaiting a resolution for the
above problem, while it is said that MACTA,
the association of Malayalam directors,
may file a case against Nayantara.
