Strange
things do happen and they appear weirder
when supposedly plain human beings confront
celebrities. Their claims look a little
dicey at first but when there are attempts
at a patch up or hush up, you know that
it is a little more than much ado about
nothing. |

|
Take the case of a woman in Patna,
who barged into the hotel room of
veteran singer, Udit Narayan when
he was in town. Ranjana Devi claimed
that she was his first wife and
that he had deserted her after he
became famous. While the episode
created a buzz sometime back, it
died down. But, it has raised a
few eyebrows now. Udit met her at
the Patna airport on Friday and
spent nearly five hours at the restaurant.

He
said that he had been emotionally drained
because of the allegations. He could not
concentrate on his career and felt wrecked.
Moreover, the woman’s sister was married
to his brother and that made matters all
the more difficult. Hence, he spent a few
hours in trying to sort out the issue and
that is why he had come to Patna. The entire
visit was shielded by security personnel
whom Udit had brought along with him.
|
|
Meanwhile,
the State Commission for Women has called
for support for Ranjana and asked Udit to
come clean on the issue.
Is there any truth in Ranjana’s claims
or is she a gold digger? Is Udit’s
conscience clear or is there a past which
has come back to haunt him?
