Sollamale
earned director Sasi a respectable
name in the industry. The movie was
spoken for its unique treatment and
tight narration. His subsequent film
Roja Koottam and Dishum divulged a
characteristic style of this director.
Sasi has retained his image as a director
who can churn out a decent family
entertainer.
Now the combination of Sasi and Srikanth is once
again expected to do wonders at the box office
with their new venture called ‘Im’,
a very interesting title indeed.
Heroines in Sasi’s films are not glam dolls
who make a fleeting appearance. They do not fit
into the traditional mould of Tamil cinema where
they gyrate for few songs, hibernate for the rest
of the film and reappear in the climax scene.
On the contrary the story is generally spun around
them portraying them in a stronger vein. Hence
Asin and Shriya were approached for the role of
the leading lady. Due to call sheet issue, they
were not able to accept the offer. The shooting
is most likely to begin after finalizing the heroine.
It is also anticipated that Im would turn out
to be turning point for Srikanth who has been
having a rough patch lately.
