The
Malayalam film industry came to a
halt today. Shootings were all suspended.
The entire film industry gathered
at Trivandrum staging their protest
against piracy. Mohanlal, Mammooty,
Jeyaram, Suresh Gopi, Innocent and
Sibi Malayal led the protest march
across the city.
They
wanted the state Government to save the already
sagging industry from the hands of piracy. All
leading actors and directors were seen in the
protest march. There are also plans to meet the
Chief Minister and present their grievances. Malluwood
which saw a better 2006 with many successful movies
is aiming to keep up the momentum in 2007 too.
