After
setting the scenes on fire in regional
languages with movies and commercials,
seems it is Trisha’s turn to
reach out her barriers. She has been
roped in as the brand ambassador of
one of the leading soft drink manufacturers.
Though she is the brand’s ambassador
currently for South India,
the
new contract means that Trisha will feature in
the ad films that will be telecast throughout
India.
Though she has no plans – immediate that
is – to explore Bollywood, she is pleased
about her new assignment that could make her a
household name in India. Speaking about the company’s
preference of her over the North Indian actors
Trisha said, There used to be a time when only
North Indian girls were considered for ad films.
There was a myth that South Indian girls were
old-fashioned. But now times are changing, she
added.
For Trisha, what seems to be a sabbatical from
the Tamil movies will be over with the release
of Bheema, which is underway. Besides, she has
signed in Kreedom to be cast opposite Ajith, which
is slated to be released in 2007. That apart,
Trisha is as busy as a bee in Telugu as well.
