Kamal
Haasan who recently won the Sivaji
award in the Vijay TV awards has stated
that there are many other artists
who deserve to win this award than
him. There are veterans like Nagesh,
Mahendran, and Balu Mahendra whose
merit is worthier than mine for the
consideration of this award; Kamal
was further quoted as saying.
People in the film industry know that Kamal
is the only deserving heir to the throne of
the King of acting Sivaji Ganesan. Most of them
would agree that Kamal is a deserving winner
of the Sivaji award even though there were many
other deserving candidates.
