Mani
Ratnam is one director who very rarely
gives interviews to the media. He
generally lets his work speak for
himself. But after the completion
of his latest film Guru, he was found
in a very casual and jovial mood.
While talking about Guru, the ace
director came across as an immensely
satisfied man who is pleased with
the way the film has shaped up.
Now it is left with the audience to give their
verdict. According to Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya
Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have rendered their
utmost cooperation to complete the film in time
and to his satisfaction. On Aishwarya’s
performance, he notices a marked change from
the days of Iruvar. “She is surely maturing
into a fine actress who has learnt the nuances
of emoting perfectly”, he adds.
While discussing about his next film with Rajni,
the director replies, “After a grueling
schedule of Guru, I am relaxed now and I intend
taking a break for six months after which I
would think about my next project.” Thus
he concluded the chat session without mentioning
if his next project would be Lajjo or a film
with the super star Rajnikanth.
